Aside from a few workers and a few pieces of heavy equipment visible last week, not much can be seen from street level due to the height of the ground above and mounds of earth piled up for the construction work of the facility, but work is continuing on the new Canopy Growth site being built in the city’s east-end White Hills area. Once in full production mode, the site will be able to grow 12,000 kilograms of cannabis per year. Cannabis becomes legal in Canada on Wednesday, Oct. 17. The sod-turning for the site was held on May 7.
