The Town of Conception Bay South’s new resident attraction and tourism video was launched Friday at an event at Manuels River.
The commercial, which will be broadcast on local and national television next month, features people exploring a growing community that officials say has the heart of a small town.
“This commercial shows the magical moments that people get to experience every day in Conception Bay South – whether it’s hiking along the ocean, taking a leisurely cruise around the bay, or playing a game of street hockey surrounded by beautiful scenery. We have an energy in our town that keeps you young at heart and sparks your imagination and wonder,” Mayor Terry French said in a news release.
“Our goal for 2019 is to focus on marketing our town and positioning ourselves as a great place to establish long-terms roots and raise a family. We are strategically located close to the city, yet residents get to enjoy the small-town, rural, and friendly feel that comes with living here. Our Town has a beautiful ocean view and some of the best weather in the province. This beauty and unique blend of urban and rural living is what sets us apart – it is the magic of Conception Bay South. I know it, our residents know it, and now we’re sharing it with the rest of the world.”
Conception Bay South will be at the centre of the curling world next month. As part of the Grand Slam of Curling, Boost National event coverage, the town will air its new video on Sportsnet, which will be broadcast all across Canada. Starting next week, the town will also air its video during the local evening news hours.
“We have an attractive and vibrant housing and commercial sector. Given today’s economy, this is something we are very proud of and demonstrates that Conception Bay South is a great place to live and raise a family,” French said.
=With a population of more than 26,000, Conception Bay South is the second largest municipality in the province.
