Peter Hoyles of Cormack is back in police custody.

According to a CBC article Tuesday, Hoyles was out on parole and working at a coffee counter at the Paradise Rec Complex — where kids play hockey and at least one of his coworkers was underage, as high school students work there.

Coffee Matters, his employer, has said it completed character references and employment checks but did not do a background criminal check into Hoyles.

The Town of Paradise has said it wasn’t involved, as it was a private contractor that hired him. In September 2017, Hoyles was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for sexual assault.
