Corner Brook man arrested for threatening to kill law enforcement officers

CORNER BROOK, N.L. — A 57-year-old was arrested and charged with uttering threats to kill a peace officer and a correctional officer Thursday night in Corner Brook.

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers were called to the Main Street area regarding complaints of an unruly and intoxicated individual. When approached by police, the man became confrontational and was detained.

The accused is also charged with breaching a probation order.

He's in Corner Brook provincial court this morning.
