A 19-year-old man found out driving fast in the early hours of the morning can be an expensive proposition.
The Corner Brook RNC clocked the Massey Drive man doing 165 km/h on their radar gun around 12:30 a.m. early Monday on the Trans Canada Highway between Steady Brook and Corner Brook.
The posted speed limit in that westbound zone leading into Corner Brook is 90 km/h.
The driver was charged with speeding for being 75 km/h over the posted limit and imprudant driving and was issued tickets for the offences.
