A 48-year-old Corner Brook man is facing three charges, including assault with a weapon, following an incident in the city Monday.
At 4:05 pm, operational patrol officers responded to a report that someone had been threatened and assaulted with a weapon.
It was reported that man had emerged from a home in the Broadway area and approached the complaint with an edged weapon and threatened to cause harm to him.
As a result of the investigation a 48-year-old man was arrested without incident and is held in custody for a court appearance later today. He will answer to charges of uttering threats, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
