Corner Brook teen arrested for mischief, arson threats

CORNER BROOK, N.L. — A 16-year-old boy from Corner Brook is in hot water today after making arson threats on Wednesday afternoon.

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers responded to a report of mischief in the city’s east end where the suspect also threatened to burn down a residence.

The youth was arrested, charged with mischief to property, uttering threats and a breach of probation. The accused will appear before the Youth Criminal Justice Court this morning.
