In a three-month period from June 22 to Oct. 17, a 35-year-old Corner Brook woman racked up 34 charges for thefts, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with a probation order.
Add to that three charges from December 2017 and Brenna Stevenson’s total number of charges was at 37 when she appeared in provincial court in Corner Brook on Tuesday afternoon.
Stevenson appeared by video from the Clarenville Women’s Correctional Facility.
By the time her court appearance was over she had pled guilty to 23 of the charges and the others will be withdrawn at the conclusion of her sentencing hearing.
She’s charged with thefts from Canadian Tire and National Shoe and with possession of stolen property from Stan Dawe Ltd., Sobeys, Carter’s OshKosh, Warehouse One, Bluenotes and The Source.
Facts and sentencing has been set for Dec. 3.
