A 31-year-old Corner Brook woman charged after a handgun was discharged in a city home this past October has pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The woman, who cannot be named because of a court ordered publication ban, appeared in provincial court here on Tuesday afternoon.
After the woman entered the guilty plea, Crown attorney Lori St. Croix indicated that it is the Crown’s intention to withdrawn three other charges — careless use of a firearm, assault and unauthorized possession of a prohibited woman.
The woman has requested a pre-sentence report and her sentencing hearing has been set for April 20.
