Garry Edgar Gregory, 54, had been represented by Conor Mullin from the Corner Brook legal aid office. However, during an appearance in provincial court on Tuesday morning lawyer Peter Chaffey told the court that legal aid was in the process of making the change and assigning a new lawyer to Gregory’s file.

Gregory is facing four counts of possessing a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of producing a controlled substance, two counts of failure to comply with a court order and one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Gregory is currently serving time on an unrelated matter and appeared in court via videoconference.

He was sentenced to six months in jail on Jan. 5 for assaulting another man with a tire iron at the Rockwood Lounge in Deer Lake last June.

His matters related to the grow operation were set over to Feb. 13.
