CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, N.L. — A 40-year-old man will appear before a provincial court judge today after being arrested for stealing a school bus in Conception Bay South on Monday afternoon.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary received word that the bus, reported stolen earlier in the day, was seen on C.B.S. roads. Once located, the driver of the bus attempted to flee police, but the brief chase ended on Peacekeeper's Way where it blocked eastbound traffic for a short time.

The accused, already with several outstanding warrants for his arrest, now faces additional charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, flight from police and resisting arrest.
