CONCEPTION HARBOUR, N.L. — The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are investigating the sudden death of a 64-year-old in the community of Bacon Cove over the weekend.
Police say local fishermen found the woman's remains on the shoreline on Saturday.
RCMP officers from Holyrood and Ferryland were called to the scene and were assisted by the local firefighters in recovering the body from difficult terrain.
A cause of death has not been determined and police say they are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The investigation is ongoing.
