Jeff Keshen named v-p of Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook

His appointment, a renewable five-year term, was approved by Memorial’s Board of Regents on Wednesday. He’ll take over the position on Nov. 15 but is expected to visit the campus later this month.
Keshen holds a PhD from York University with a research concentration in the history of war and conflict and most recently served as dean of the Faculty of Arts with Mount Royal University. Prior to this, he held the position of chair, Department of History; adjunct professor; and manager, Experiential Learning Service at the University of Ottawa.
Keshen replaces Mary Bluechardt, who left the position in April to become president of Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax.
