Judy Foote hosting first garden party as lieutenant-governor

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – The public is being invited to attend the annual garden party on the grounds of Government House in St. John’s this Wednesday, July 25.

It will be the first time hosting the event for Lt.-Gov. Judy Foote and her husband, Howard.

This year’s garden party will feature appearances by the Church Lads’ Brigade Band, The Signal Hill Tattoo, Clare Follett and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s Mounted Unit.

Light refreshments will be served by members of the Girl Guides and Scouts Canada.

The event starts at 3 p.m. and wraps up at 4:30 p.m.

In the event of inclement weather the garden party will take place on Thursday, July 26.
