Despite pleading not guilty to charges against him from a Dec. 12 incident in Piccadilly, Judge Lynn Cole decided on Wednesday Kevin LeCointre is guilty of the offences, with the exception of the aggravated assault charge.
The charges include: disguised with intent, breaking and entering with intent and two counts of failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking or recognizance.
Sentencing for the charges has been set to take place on March 7.

It all stems back to an incident in Piccadilly on Dec. 12, 2015 when LeCointre, along with an unknown individual, are alleged to have broken into a home. LeCointre is alleged to have beaten an occupant of the house with a baseball bat.
It was alleged LeCointre and the other person stole a sum of money and drugs from the man in the house.
While Judge Cole didn’t find LeCointre guilty of aggravated assault, she did find him guilty of the included offence of assault causing bodily harm.
She said the aggravated assault charge included the element of “endangering the life of the victim.”
Judge Cole said the medical evidence did not establish the man’s life was endangered but did establish the man received significant cuts and bruising that were by no means “trifling or transitory.”
She said it should be noted that during the trail LeCointre acknowledged he was out past his curfew.
In relation to the incident he is charged for, RCMP officers responded to a call at 1:14 a.m. on that date at a home on the main road in Piccadilly. Police said two armed intruders assaulted two residents, who were taken to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life threatening.
LeCointre was 39 years old when he was charged in connection with an armed home invasion and theft in Piccadilly and has been in custody since that time.
