Lenny Tiller shared a laugh with his presenter of the Stephanie Cormier Chaisson Memorial Leadership Award, Brenda Dennis of the Bay St. George Status of Women Council following a big hug during a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women event at College of the North Atlantic’s L.A. Bown Building on Thursday at noon hour.
He was recognized for his wide array of volunteer work in the community and mobilizing others to take action.
Stephanie Cormier Chaisson was an active volunteer in her community of Cape St. George who was killed by her estranged husband back in March of 2012 and the award in her honour has been presented twice a year since.
