Traffic has been flowing over it for quite some time now, but the new Main Street bridge will be officially opened by municipal, provincial and federal officials this weekend.
Crews have been busy putting the final cosmetic touches are on and around the structure.
Built wider for better traffic flow and rising higher above the Corner Brook Stream than its predecessor to hopefully prevent flooding from shutting the road down, the new bridge cost around $4.8 million.
The official opening is set for 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
