Man dead after St. John’s multi-vehicle accident

St. John’s, N.L. — A supper-hour accident on Blackmarsh Road Friday resulted in the death of one person, and saw another person hospitalized.

First responders from the RNC, Eastern Health paramedics and the St. John’s Regional Fire Department rushed to the call of a multivehicle accident in the area of 225 Blackmarsh Road.

Two people were brought to the Health Science Centre. A police release Saturday morning stated that one 59-year-old man has died as a result of the accident.

The RNC accident investigation division is continuing the investigation.
