St. John’s, N.L. — A man who was arrested after he was seen masked late Friday afternoon outside a store on Freshwater Road will be in court Saturday morning to face charges.
The RNC responded to a call of a man acting in a suspicious manner with his face covered outside of the store shortly before 4:30 p.m. When the suspect was arrested at the scene officers found he was carrying a loaded firearm.
He was apprended for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm while prohibited, carrying a loaded weapon, possession of a weapon with dangerous intent, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence and breaching court orders.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Criminal Investigation Division.
The suspect held at the lockup to appear in provincial court today to face his charges.
