Pasadena's Bailey Jordan-Neil impressed, but came up short in the finale of The Shot last weekend.
The 20-year-old was one of the final eight contestants in the vocal talent showcase to make it to the final.
He survived the first cut and was among the Top 4 performers hoping to get enough votes from the live and online audiences.
The show's eventual winner was Jasmine June of Ontario.

Bailey Jordan-Neil is hoping to get some support from back home and abroad Saturday as he aims to win The Shot.
The 20-year-old, originally from Pasadena is now pursuing his musical dreams in Toronto and will be releasing his “The Lucky EP” Aug. 30.
This summer, he has performed his way into the final of The Shot, a vocal talent showcase competition that will conclude Saturday evening.
Jordan-Neil is among eight finalists who are hoping to win.
For the finale, the eight will perform once before judges eliminate half of them. The final four will then perform again before the live audience and online voting takes place.
The online voting will be open for just 15 minutes, the length of the show’s intermission, after the final four have performed.
The winner will receive a showcase at the 2020 Canadian Music Week, VIP access to the conference and recording of a new single with music producer Brandon Fehderau.
The Shot has discovered and supported artists that have gone on to gain more than 800,000 streams on Spotify, performances at Boots and Hearts, NXNE, Ottawa Bluesfest, opening act slots for Jim Cuddy, Tyler Shaw, Buffy Saint-Marie, and Our Lady Peace, and radio and television appearances including season 2 of CTV’s The Launch.
The finale will be live-streamed on Facebook and online voting will be done on The Shot’s website.
