While the City of St. John’s says it can’t afford to not break federal environmental laws forbidding the dumping of snow removed from street-clearing operations into its harbour, the City of Corner Brook says it does not deposit snow removed through municipal operations into the Humber Arm.
Rather, Corner Brook piles snow in various open spaces near where the snow is being moved from, like this area near the intersection of Grenfell Drive and Elizabeth Street.
