STEPHENVILLE, N.L. — A Kippens man has been issued a license suspension and a Flat Bay woman charged with impaired driving as the result of reports to the Bay St. George RCMP.
Police said it was about 5:45 p.m. on Friday they received a report of a possible impaired driver on Kippens Road.
Officers responded and found the alleged 49-year-old male driver outside the vehicle at a residence where witnesses identified him as the driver and a breath test was administered, resulting in the issuance of a license suspension.
Later that night, at about 11 p.m., police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Main Street in Stephenville.
Officers responded, located the vehicle and the driver, a 33-year-old woman from Flat Bay, refused to provide a breath sample.
She was charged with impaired driving and refusing to comply with a demand for a breath sample.
The woman’s driver's license was suspended, and the vehicle impounded.
She was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29.
