Premier Dwight Ball may be called as witness in murder trial

Premier Dwight Ball told reporters Thursday afternoon that he might be called to testify as a witness at the Brandon Philips murder trial.

Ball said that if asked, he'll testify, and he will not invoke parliamentary privilege.

Balls daughter had a relationship with Phillips around the time he was accused of killing a man during a robbery of the Captain's Quarters in 2015.

Earlier this week Ball said that he didnt expect hed have to testify. Ball said he only got the request to testify late Thursday morning, and in the interest of transparency, he updated the public as soon as possible.
