Rest of Ernest Harmon Air Force Base vintage building in Stephenville cleared for demolition

The lower portion of a building, located on Massachusetts Drive across from Stephenville Manor, which was one of two Ernest Harmon Air Force Base vintage buildings that Service NL had demolished in 2015 is finally being finished. Last used as a storage building for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corp., the work was halted because of concerns about contamination, but has since been cleared for demolition this week by contractor Boyd & Bungay Construction Ltd. based in Stephenville.
