CORNER BROOK
A Stephenville man must have been in a real hurry to get where he was going Wednesday.
But driving 165 kilometres per hour in a 100 km/h zone cost him his licence and vehicle.
The 35-year-old man was stopped by the Corner Brook Royal Newfoundland Constabulary on the Trans-Canada Highway near Logger’s School Road at 3:31 p.m.
He was issued a summary offence ticket for exceeding the speed limit in excess of 51 km/h, a seven-day driving suspension and had his vehicle impounded for three days.
