Second World War veteran Bob Grant’s Royal Canadian Legion jacket is weighed down with many service medals, but he can wear his latest decoration on any attire he chooses.

The Corner Brook Come Home Year organizing committee recently made a special visit to Grant, who turned 100 years old in June, to personally ensure he had his commemorative pin for the celebrations coming up in the city July 19-28.

Grant, whose memory of his wartime service and subsequent life in Corner Brook remains a sharp as a tack, appreciated being remembered in such a special way by the committee.
