Elections Newfoundland and Labrador are now accepting special ballot applications for the upcoming Topsail-Paradise byelection.
Special ballot voting is made available to members of the electorate who feel they may be unable to vote in person at the advanced or regular polls.
Applications are available at elections.gov.nl.ca, by emailing [email protected] or by calling the special ballot division at (709) 729-0789.
Approved applicants will receive their voting kits after the official close of nominations, eight days after the byelection call.
The byelection comes as a result of former Progressive Conservative leader and Topsail-Paradise MHA Paul Davis stepping down in October. Davis’s resignation is effective Nov. 2, meaning a byelection will have to be called within 60 days.
