CORNER BROOK, N.L. — The Corner Brook Museum and Archives will be screening a 1972 movie with a strong connection to Corner Brook in Margaret Bowater Park on July 23.
“The Rowdyman,” written by and starring Newfoundland actor Gordon Pinsent was filmed in the city.
The movie follows Pinsent’s character, Will Cole, a mill worker who refuses to grow up and whose world crashes down on him when his friends suffer as a result of his antics.
The museum is presenting the movie as a Sounds of Summer Movie. The screening will begin at 9 p.m.
