A special weather statement from Environment Canada for the Avalon Peninsula as been lifted, but other areas will likely see snow, rain and strong winds on Monday.
Wind warnings have been issued for the Bonavista, western Newfoundland and the Wreckhouse area. Environment Canada says winds in these areas could have damaging effects.
In Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity, Gros Morne, Bonavista area, Bay St. George and Corner Brook areas strong winds are expected to gust between 100 and 120 km/h in areas prone to enhanced southeasterly winds beginning Monday morning.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds, Environment Canada advises.

Precipitation will start as snow before changing to rain, beginning in the southwest before morning on Monday and spreading into the rest of the island throughout the day.
Ice pellets or freezing rain is also possible during the transition from snow to rain.
Environment Canada says the amount and types of precipitation expected will depend on the exact track of this system, which is still uncertain as of Saturday morning.
Strong winds are expected for most of the day. Drivers are warned to be prepared for changing road conditions that deteriorate rapidly.
