The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating the sudden death of a 36-year-old woman in Conception Bay South.

On Thursday, Aug. 15, an ambulance responded to a call in the Minerals Road area just after 1 p.m. Members of the RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division responded to assist.

A woman was reportedly lying on the side of the road. She was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries and later died in hospital

Police are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Investigators are also turning to the public for help.

"We are actively investigating this matter, and are looking for CCTV or dash camera footage in the area of Minerals Road, C.B.S., near Porter’s Trucking, between noon and 1 p.m. on the date in question," police said in a release.
