Mark Thompson was ordered released from custody on a new recognizance during an appearance in provincial court in Corner Brook on Friday afternoon.

The 25-year-old is facing 11 charges, including sexual assault, sexual interference, providing liquor to a minor and eight breaches of a recognizance.

The eight alleged breaches occurred just days after Thompson was released on a recognizance on July 3 on the other charges.

The new recognizance includes $5,000 in the form of a promise to pay, $2,000 from one person and $3,000 from another, and that Thompson have no contact with his alleged victim or potential witnesses in the case.

Other conditions include that he have no contact with anyone under the age of 16, that he is not allowed to access the Internet or to possess a device that is capable of accessing the Internet.

Thompson will be back in court on Aug. 14.
