KIPPENS, N.L. — A 60-year-old Boswarlos woman has been arrested and charged with impaired driving and refusing to comply with a blood demand following an accident in Kippens on Friday.
Members of the Bay St. George RCMP responded at about 9 p.m. to the two-vehicle collision on the main road leading through Kippens.
Both drivers were taken to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries and were later released.
In addition to the impaired driving charge the woman was also issued a ticket for having open liquor in the vehicle.
Police issued a driving suspension and impounded her vehicle.
The woman has been released from custody with a scheduled court date of April 15.
