HEART’S CONTENT, N.L. – The Heart’s Content Volunteer Fire Brigade is getting a new tanker truck.
The truck, which will be cost-shared with the provincial government, was announced by Municipal Affairs and Environment Minister Andrew Parsons on Aug. 9.
The province’s share of the vehicle is $228,000 while the municipality is contributed $57,000.
“This new truck will enable the Heart’s Content Volunteer Fire Brigade to deliver critical services to residents of the region,” Parsons said in a release.
The Heart’s Content Volunteer Fire Brigade also provides service to Heart’s Desire and New Perlican.
