No charges following report of nude swimmer in Marystown

MARYSTOWN, N.L. - No charges are being laid after a man was seen allegedly skinny-dipping in the harbour near Canning Bridge in Marystown on Sunday, Sept. 23.

A spokesperson with the RCMP’s B Division’s Media Relations confirmed in an email to The Southern Gazette  Sept.24, that police did respond to a call on Sunday.

“This happened yesterday near Canning Bridge in Marystown. Police attended, there were no injuries,” read the email.

“An investigation took place that deemed this was not a criminal matter and no charges will be laid.”
