Five men and five women will be invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador at a Government House ceremony in late January.

Among this year’s honourees are renowned artist Christopher Pratt and Olympic figure skater Kaetlyn Osmond.

The rest of the honourees include Joseph Butler (humanitarian activities), Hon. Richard Cashin (public service), Paula Dawe (volunteerism), Darryl Fry (humanitarian activities), Rev. Arthur G. Elliott (public service), Cassandra Edna Ivany (humanitarian activities), Odelle Pike (volunteerism), Dr. Lloydetta Quaicoe (cultural).

“While they vary in age, gender and the nature of their accomplishments, two things they all have in common are their love for Newfoundland and Labrador and their desire to make the world a better place,” stated Lt.-Gov. Judy Foote, who will host the reception on Jan. 29.

This will be the 12th investiture ceremony since the first appointments were made in 2004, and bring the total number of recipients to 110.
