Police arrest man and woman in Labrador City assault investigation

Police have arrested a man and woman in Labrador City for assaulting another man.

The arrests are in connection with a disturbance on May 9.

The following day, May 10 at around 1 p.m., Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers responded to an assault complaint in Labrador City.

As a result of that investigation, police arrested the 27-year-old man and 20-year-old woman. The pair are in police custody and are set to appear in court Saturday.

The man is charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and malicious damage. The woman is charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

Police believe the two accused and the victim are known to each other.
