There were no serious injuries when a car collided with a moose on Maddox Cove Road Monday night.

The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. and left the car with front end damage and a shattered windshield.

The two occupants of the car were checked on scene by Eastern Health paramedics.

The moose escaped into nearby woods.
