CLARENVILLE, N.L. — The celebrations continue today as the citizens of Clarenville prepare for their civic holiday tomorrow, July 17.

Today’s events include:

Noon: Chair Yoga at the Bill Davis Chalet. Register by emailing [email protected]

2-4 p.m: Senior’s Get-Together at the Royal Canadian Legion on Legion Road with refreshments. Live Music by Art & Austin. For more info, contact Brandon Reardon [email protected]

4-6 p.m: Forest Fire Awareness Session with the Forest Service’s Branch. Learn about forest fire prevention and suppression, Fire Smart initiatives and meet Smokey the Bear at 97 Manitoba Drive. Call Inga or Amelia at 466-7439 for more information.

7-8:30 p.m: Chase the Ace at the Clarenville Lions Club

6-8 p.m: OPENING CEREMONY - including complementary Bouncy Castle rides, BBQ Hot dogs and Refreshments at Elizabeth Swan Park.

6 p.m: Bouncy Castles, Splash Pad & Playground Fun

6:30 p.m: Kiddies Bike Parade.

7 p.m: Official Opening at Elizabeth Swan Park

7:30 p.m: Clarenville Day Poker Tournament at Flannigan’s Pub. $50 Entry fee. (19+).

8 p.m. - Close: Live Entertainment & Drink Specials at “The Wheelhouse Pub” featuring “Anudder Double”.

11 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. Clarenville Days Dance featuring “FRESHLY SQUEEZED” at the Eastlink Events Centre. 19+ Only. Admission is $15. Food Truck Service available outside.

Wednesday, July 17, will feature a full lineup of events for all ages for the civic holiday.
