CARBONEAR, N.L. — A complaint about two vehicles doing burn outs in the parking lot of a mall in Carbonear landed two young drivers in trouble.

According to a news release, Harbour Grace RCMP responded to a complaint of reckless driving near the Trinity Conception Square Mall in Carbonear Thursday morning, June 13.

Responding officers located two vehicles doing burn outs in the parking lot of the mall. The two young men, both 18 years of age, have been charged with stunting under Section 168.1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

Both men are now subject to a seven-day driver's license suspension and their vehicles have been seized.

Road safety is a priority for the RCMP. Motorists are reminded there are stiff penalties for drivers who choose to operate their vehicles in an unsafe manner.
