A bizarre traffic incident on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s left one car on top of another and one person in hospital.
The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. when a car left the road and struck a metal post. The car was then launched into the air where it landed on another car parked in a driveway. A report from the scene indicates the car also overturned during the incident.
The lone driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the road in the area was closed for about an hour so police could investigate the crash.
