GANDER, N.L. — Two central NL men were charged on Oct. 19 following a break in at a business in Gander.

Gander RCMP arrested Benjamin William Lush, 34, of Gambo and Matthew Joshua Keats, 32, of Gander and charged them both with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime, and being disguised with intent to commit an indictable offense.  

Keats, who was released from custody, is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 14, 2020, when he is facing these charges and unrelated charges of flight from a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful sale of tobacco products and selling contraband.

Lush, who is still in custody, is scheduled to be back on these charges on Dec. 10, when he also facing unrelated counts of theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with an undertaking.

RCMP said investigations are ongoing into other break and enters in the area and they ask any members of the public who have witnessed any suspicious activity to please contact them at 709-256-6841
