SHESHATSHIU, N.L. — A Quebec man has been charged with attempted murder in Sheshatshiu. Michael Alexander Gregoire, 28, was arrested on Sunday, April 14 by Sheshatshiu RCMP with the assistance of Labrador District General Investigation Section, Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Section. He appeared in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court this morning April 15, to face the charges. He is scheduled to appear again on Wednesday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m.

Gregoire is facing six charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.

The victim was transported to the local hospital where she was treated and released. The investigation is continuing.
