A man and woman were taken to hospital Monday night following a moose-vehicle collision on the Manuels Access road just east of Fowler’s Road.
The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. in the westbound lane, leaving the front end, windshield and roof of the vehicle with extensive damage.
The injured moose was euthanized on scene by a provincial wildlife officer.
Traffic was at a standstill in both directions until the moose was removed.
The injuries to the two victims were not considered serious.
