A car-pedestrian collision sent one woman to hospital Sunday night in Mount Pearl.
The collision happened at the intersection of Third Street and Ruth Avenue when a driver was apparently making a left-hand turn onto Third Street.
The woman was crossing the road on a crosswalk. When the Telegram arrived on scene, the distraught young male driver was standing nearby as emergency personnel tended to the victim.
Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The RNC is investigating the incident.
