A quiet neighbourhood in the Kilbride area of St. John’s was the scene of an unusual incident Tuesday night just after 8 p.m. when a pickup crashed into one of the homes on the street.
It appears the female driver of a red Ford F-150 lost control of the truck which then crashed into the corner of the building causing extensive damage to the corner of the home as well as the truck she was driving. The truck came to rest partially inside the house and against the electrical service to the building.
The woman was assessed by paramedics on scene but did not go to hospital at the time of the incident.
Newfoundland Power was called in to check on any damage to the electrical service.
The RNC is investigating the incident.
