The St. Margaret’s Ski Club in Plum Point was proud to show off a new groomer during a “Fun Day” at the club in April.
The International Grenfell Association donated $10,000 to assist with the purchase. Now the club needs a new vehicle to properly tow the new groomer.
They will be fundraising for that in the coming months.
The St. Margaret’s Ski Club “Fun Day” was also an opportunity to finish up the Jackrabbit sessions and show appreciation to the club’s membership with a turkey dinner, games and races. The jackrabbits were presented with awards recognizing their achievements this past winter.
"We were pleased with the membership and participation by both skiers and snowshoers this year," wrote club president Ronald Chambers. "And look forward to an even more active year next year with improved trails and a renewed interest in skiing and snowshoeing."
