SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Josh Lawrence completed a hat trick by burying the go-ahead goal early in the third period, and the Saint John Sea Dogs beat the Moncton Wildcats 5-4 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Lawrence, who added an assist for a four-point outing, scored his first two goals less than a minute apart in the second period to tie the game at 2-2.
Jeremie Jacob and Maxim Cajkovic also scored for the Sea Dogs (1-0-1). William Poirier had three assists.
Elliot Desnoyers scored twice for Moncton (1-1-0) and Dylan Seitz and Jordan Spence added the others.
Alex D'Orio made 34 saves for Saint John. The Wildcats got 30 stops from Charles-Antoine Lavallee.
The Sea Dogs were 0 for 3 on the power play while Moncton scored three times on six chances with the man advantage.

QUEBEC CITY — Louis-Filip Cote scored the eventual winner midway thorugh the third while on the power play as the Remparts doubled up Sherbrooke.
Aleksei Sergeev, Matthew Grouchy and Andrew Coxhead also scored for Quebec (1-1-0) while Derek Baribeau made 24 saves for the win.
Brendan Creegan stopped 33-of-36 shots for the Phoenix (0-1-1). Jacob Arsenault and Felix Robert supplied the goals.
OCEANIC 9 TIGRES 0
RIMOUSKI, Que. — Colten Ellis stopped all 24 shots he faced and Dmitry Zavgorodniy scored two goals and set up two more as the Oceanic blanked Victoriaville.
Jacob Kelly also scored twice for Rimouski (2-0-0) and Nathan Ouellet, Charle-Edouard D'Astous, Anthony Gagnon, Jimmy Huntington and Mathieu Bizier rounded out the offence.
Tristan Cote-Cazenave started for the Tigres (0-1-0) and allowed three goals on five shots in 10:36. Fabio Iacobo gave up six goals on 28 shots the rest of the way.
