CAPE BROYLE, N.L.
The RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects captured in surveillance footage during a break-in at the Riverside Lounge in Cape Broyle.
According to a RCMP release, police received a report of an alarm sounding at the business at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 1. An ATM machine was reported as stolen.
While on the way to the scene, police tried to pull over a white four-door sedan that matched the description captured in the business’s surveillance footage. The vehicle sped up, however, evading police and continued on towards St. John’s.
An undisclosed amount of cash was contained inside the stolen ATM machine.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ferryland RCMP. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers.
