HALIFAX — Police say multiple people were seen passing a gun around near a sunny beach in Halifax's Point Pleasant Park on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the call came in at about 3:30 p.m., and officers spotted what they describe as an associated vehicle nearby.
They say a "high risk vehicle stop" was made at Young Avenue and Inglis Street in Halifax's wealthy south end.
Four men aged 18 to 21 and a male youth were arrested without incident and a gun found during a search of the car.
The five young men have been released from custody.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
