KIPPENS, N.L. —

A Green New Deal town hall meeting, one of many such meetings being held in communities across the country in May to help shape the vision for a Green New Deal for Canada, was held at the Community Centre in Kippens on Tuesday afternoon. Here, Marie Wiseman, who facilitated the meeting with her husband Joe Wiseman, explains writing down red and green points to Bill Pilgrim, one of 20 attendees at the event. The plan is to bring people together from all walks of life to discuss the vision for a new economy – one that cuts global warming pollution, creates millions of green jobs and makes sure no one gets left behind. The input from the town halls will be used to inform a vision for a Green New Deal for all.
